Notes for applicants

Applicants are advised to read carefully the aims and objectives of The Trust to ensure that their application complies.

The Trust encourages applications for small grants and bursaries from suitably qualified sponsors, where such a grant will enable a young person with disability or a deprived background to realise their full potential.

The Trust helps young people under the age of 25.

The Trust prefers to support projects and people in the local area because it places importance on continuing contact with beneficiaries.

The Portishead Nautical Trust receives far more applications than its income can satisfy. The rules are provided to assist applicants and to avoid disappointment.

The Trust does, however, consider every application submitted on its merits, provided its scope is within The Trust’s aims and objectives. The trustees meet approximately quarterly.
